About Causebox
Causebox is a subscription service for women that delivers clothing, jewelry, skincare products, and other lifestyle products to their doorstep four times a year. Causebox offers exclusive, handmade products from socially conscious brands. Causebox is cruelty-free and sustainably produced, and aims to empower women while helping non-profit organizations around the world that support women. This review of the Causebox subscription provides an overview of the service, the products offered, customer feedback, and more to help potential subscribers make an informed decision.
What is Causebox?
Causebox was developed by two men for the modern woman. Don’t be fooled by this, because co-founders Matt Richardson and Brett McCollum knew exactly what they were doing. Since 2014, Causebox has shipped thousands of boxes to women across North America. With over 150,000 followers on Causebox’s Instagram account (and perhaps the most aesthetically pleasing feed you’ve ever seen), Causebox’s popularity continues to grow.
Causebox ships one box at the beginning of each season. For example, the winter box contains mugs that are perfect for cozying up by the fireplace; the summer box contains metal straws that are environmentally friendly and look cool too. Whether it’s skincare products, leopard-print silk scarves, or home accessories, Causebox has a knack for selecting items you didn’t even know you needed.
These boxes look super inviting, but a review of the Causebox subscription revealed that they are more than just pretty to look at. All products are cruelty-free, sustainably produced, and environmentally friendly. The company donates money to dozens of organizations such as Speak Your Silence, Trees for the Future, and Books for Africa, and works with women-owned businesses around the world.

Causebox Subscriptions

Women who subscribe to Causebox receive four boxes per year containing 6 to 8 products. From clothing and accessories to wellness products and artwork, Causebox offers unique, handmade items for women who want to improve their skincare routine or simply treat themselves every now and then. Many of Causebox’s products are exclusive collaborations, which means you can’t buy them anywhere else. That makes you feel special, doesn’t it?
For those who want to sign up, Causebox offers the option of paying annually or quarterly.
Annual payment
If you want to sign up for a whole year of Causebox and save some money, this is the subscription for you. With the annual payment option, customers pay a one-time fee of $199.80. This payment covers four boxes for a whole year. That means each box costs $49.95.
Pay Quarterly
If you don’t want to spend the entire amount at once, you can also opt for the quarterly Causebox option. With quarterly payments, subscribers pay four separate fees of $54.95 per box. If you choose this option, you will ultimately pay $20 more than annual subscribers.
Regardless of which option you choose, subscribers can cancel or pause their Causebox subscription at any time. We’ll go into more detail at the end of the Causebox subscription review.
Causebox Custom

Causebox Custom is an exclusive feature for annual subscribers that allows them to customize their box each season. Two weeks before the start of the season, annual members can browse the “selection products” and tailor them to their needs. For example, subscribers can choose the color or pattern of a garment or swap skincare products for haircare products.
If a quarterly subscription member wants to customize their box, they must upgrade to an annual Causebox membership.
Past Causeboxes
Let’s get right to the exciting details of this Causebox subscription review. You’re probably wondering what cool items are included in a Causebox, and we’ve put together an overview of the last three packages for you.
Causebox Fall 2019

The Causebox Fall 2019 contained a cozy mix of travel essentials and scented candles, offering something for every subscriber to enjoy. It included a facial oil, a 10-piece makeup brush collection, and a minimalist gold necklace. Causebox encouraged its subscribers to pack and go with this travel-themed box.Causebox Spring 2019
Causebox Spring 2019

The Causebox Spring 2019 box was all about your skincare. With a facial spray, face mask, eye mask, and a luxurious konjac sponge (for deep exfoliation), you can say goodbye to tired and dry skin with these new products. Not interested in skincare? This box also includes a silk scarf that can be used as a headband, a portfolio clutch, a postcard, and a plant hanger. It’s a truly versatile scarf. A super scarf, if you will.
Causebox Winter 2019

The Causebox Winter 2019 box was all about the holidays. It contained a cozy knitted blanket for cold winter evenings and golden serving spoons that would make your Christmas party stand out from all the others. Together with a set of two mugs, an art print, and a hair clip, this Causebox Winter 2019 Box was put together to bring out the best in you.
Is Causebox Worth It?
The Causebox website is so aesthetically pleasing that it immediately draws you in. The pastel colors and skillfully placed photos were enough to draw my eye to the “Subscribe Now” button while I was writing this review of the Causebox subscription. I love that each box is so different from the last. Causebox’s versatility ensures that the boxes are truly suitable for everyone. And with products worth over $200 sold for a quarter of the price? It almost seems like a miracle.
What Do Customers Think?
Since Causebox reviews are not published directly on their website, we had to visit other websites to find out what customers think. The general conclusion? Women are impressed by Causebox and rate it with a total of 4/5 stars.
On mysubscriptionaddiction.com, a verified buyer left the following review of Causebox: “As always, I am very impressed with Causebox. I love that they partner with brands and companies that use ethical manufacturing practices, and the curation of the box is equally impressive.”
On cratejoy.com, another verified buyer says: “I was just as excited about my first box as I was about the one I received today (my second box). Everything is beautifully packaged and wrapped. The products themselves are fantastic quality and I’m quickly becoming excited about more than one!”
When it comes to customer satisfaction, Causebox seems to know what it’s doing.

FAQ
Causebox Shipping Policy
Causebox ships free of charge to the United States, with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska, where shipping costs $7.95. Shipping to Canada costs an additional $7.95, with no additional customs duties or taxes.
When are the seasonal boxes shipped? They are shipped on the first day of each month. Here are the exact dates:
- Spring boxes are shipped on March 1.
- Summer boxes ship on June 1.
- Fall boxes ship on September 1.
- Winter boxes ship on December 1.
Once your Causebox has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking link. Causebox deliveries typically take 2–8 business days.
Causebox return policy
Unfortunately, a review of the Causebox subscription has revealed that purchases are non-refundable. Causebox does not accept returns or exchanges for its boxes. If you receive a damaged product or a product is missing from your box, Causebox will replace the item free of charge. Simply contact customer service by email within two weeks of delivery of your box. After these two weeks, Causebox will no longer replace the item.
How to cancel Causebox
Causebox can be easily canceled online via the page with your account settings. The subscription must be canceled before the next renewal date, and boxes that have already been ordered will not be refunded. If this seems a little confusing, don’t worry. We’ll be happy to explain it in more detail:
- Annual members have already paid for an entire year’s worth of boxes. Meaning, if you cancel your subscription in August, you’ll still receive and be charged for the fall and winter box. Canceling your subscription will only terminate next year’s boxes.
- Quarterly members have a bit more leeway with canceling. Simply, if you cancel the seasonal box before the season begins, then you won’t be charged. For example, the Summer Box ships on June 1st, so you’d have to cancel it before then.
